The Community Action Agency of Siouxland has had an emergency food pantry since it’s beginning in 1971. Many years ago, our food pantry was dedicated to our former Board Chairman, George J Williams, who was a great advocate of eliminating hunger.

We now run the ONLY food pantry that is open to the public 40 hours week. Our emergency food pantry provides Woodbury County residents with three to five days’ worth of food as well as basic personal and household hygiene items when needed. Distribution varies by household size and situation.

Our staff work tirelessly to keep up with the ever increasing demand for food in our community. The past few years we have also been providing families with basic personal and household hygiene items when requested (See Below).
