Community Action Agency of Siouxland is a non profit organization that has been serving low-income individuals and families since 1971. We are dedicated to "Helping People. Changing Lives." We do this through several programs we offer that help individuals and families become self-sufficient.

News & Notes

The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce honored the ‘Welcome Home’ program for its decade of work. The project is affiliated with the Community Action Agency of Siouxland. It has helped over 280 families find a place to call their own.

Recently the CDC announced a pause on evictions following the ending of the eviction moratorium on July 31. The pause will last for 60 days and is aimed at renters in areas with substantial COVID-19 spread. The pause means renters cannot be evicted from their apartments for the next 2 months.

An Iowa program which helps families succeed and reach goals is expanding in Siouxland thanks to a million dollars in funding set aside by state lawmakers. The program is the Family Development and Self-Sufficiency Program (FaDSS) through the Community Action Agency of Siouxland.
