  • Assistant Community Services Director

    Administers agency programs, including LIHEAP, ECIP, I-CARE, General Assistance, and the Food Bank and takes crisis applications.  Bachelor’s degree in business, non-profit management, family development, social work, or related field and 2 years’ experience in social services, client intake, or community outreach.   • Weatherization Energy Auditor

    Conduct energy audits to identify energy-saving opportunities on residential dwellings in Woodbury and Monona Counties. Complete required paper and computerized reports. Generate bids to be submitted to local contractors.  

    Possess a high school diploma and knowledge of residential construction with an emphasis on structural components and HVAC equipment. It is helpful to have experience in housing or construction related fields.  Must have a valid driver’s license. Paid training is provided.

    This is an entry level position. Promotional opportunity once certified (potentially 18-24 months).

  • Licensed Teacher Head Start

    Community Action Agency of Siouxland is committed to providing high quality services to families and ensuring school readiness for all enrolled children. This position must provide high-quality early education and child development services for enrolled children, including for children with disabilities that promote children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth for later success in school.  Individuals must serve as an effective role model and possess high quality standards. Children’s health and safety must be of high priority.

  • FaDSS Specialist

    Responsible for carrying out the duties as outlined in the Family Development Self-Sufficiency (FaDSS) grant.  Establish, using various program disciplines, techniques and resources, a climate within a welfare dependent family which lends itself to greater self-esteem, self-determination, enhanced coping skills, and vocational skills improvement leading to self-sufficiency.  Conduct home visits to assess family needs.     Provides professional services to the boards of Western Iowa Workforce Development and Chief Local Elected Officials (CLEOS). Exceptional writing skills, creative intelligence, critical thinking, computer literacy.  Demonstrated leadership abilities.  Knowledge of mission, goals and objectives.  Possess organizational skills and ability to prioritize.  Must have access to transportation. Bachelor’s degree; two years of experience in program planning, administrative support, community assessment, organizational development preferred and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.
